Maxi implants is an exciting hybrid between conventional and Mini implants. They were designed byDr. Tariq Idris, in conjunction with UK Implant manufacturer OsteoCare TM.
Like Mini and Midi implants, they are placed with minimally invasive surgery and can provide teeth on the same day, but have the added flexibility of being made in two parts - the implant and the post being separate. This means that the angle of the post can be varied according to the angle of the required teeth with far greater ease. Furthermore, they have more surface area and are therefore suitable for use as bridgework even for the molar (back) teeth. They can also be used to stabilise fixed teeth or dentures in both the upper and lower jaws.
